Is it possible, in Vegas 8, to introduce to timeline say 25 still photos and make 1 second of video clip (IE 25 frames/sec).

Yes that is possible. Are you working in PAL? If you go to the menubar: OPTIONS-PREFERENCES and tab EDITING, you can choose for NEW STILL IMAGE LENGTH (SECONDS) a value of 0.040, which will give all the new stills exact the length of 1 frame.

    Here’s another way.
Make sure your photos are properly sequentially numbered (photo01, photo02, etc. if under 99 images, photo001, photo002 if under 999 images and so on) and are in a separate folder.
Click Import and browse to that folder.
    Click the first image.
Click the “Open still image sequence” box at the bottom of this screen and then click “Open”.
Set desired options in the the Properties box that comes up and click OK.
This now shows up in Project Media as a sequence that you drop on the timeline.
I’ve done this numerous times with image file sequences I get from animators and it works great!!
