    Hi,

I’m trying to consolidate a sequence but i’m given the message “operation not allowed.”
    any help would be appreciated.

What exactly do you mean “consolidate a Sequence”? What is your goal?

What specific ‘operation’ is ‘not allowed’? are you trying to overwrite into a transition, perhaps?

I have a finished sequence and I want to delete the un-used media leaving my sequence media consolidated but before I can do that I have to make all clips independant form the tapes they came from otherwise I will end up with the same amount of media that I started with.
when I try to make sequence clips independent I get a message saying “operation not allowed.”

The way I do it is to open the sequence, select all, then right-click and choose “Make Sequence Clips Independent”. This works for me consistently.
