Make Sequence Clips Independant – Not Working in 5.0.3- Please Help
Hi there
I’m having problem getting the “make sequence clips independant” function to work.
I’ve finished my Offline edit and now need to recapture at Online. So normally would select the sequence and click “make sequence clips independant” then I would use Media Manager to create an “Offline” project.
Once I have this I would use the “Batch Capture” function to recapture the clips I’ve used and bring the project to ONline.
I’m using FCP 5.0.3 with the latest QT etc…
Is anyone else having this problem or have I missed some thing Apple have changed?
Is there another way I can bring my project to ONline?Many thanks

It won’t work if you’ve already trashed the old media. This is a horrible bug that Apple has refused to acknowledge for a while now.

I have the orginal media…..
I’m re-capturing now and hopefully it will work else I’m in it deep.
It came up with breaks in TimeCode on the last go so I’m hoping this one will work.
This is a major problem in that this is a serious part of FCP that needs to work.
Do you know what version of FCP it does work in?
Do I need to go back to version 5.0?
