make movie
I am using Vegas Studio platinum HD. Which file templae type do I use in ‘Make Movie’ from the drop dowm menu offerred to –
(a) save to hard drive
(b) burn to disc.
There are some 9 choices.
I have tried mpeg 2 (mpg, m2v, m2ta, mpa)I would have thought this to be the obvious choice. Have also tried Windows media v11. The files play back on the source computer but error “file not recognised” appears on either of my other 2 laptops when I try to play them?
I am very confused and desperately need guidance. CAN SOME KIND PERSON POINT ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION PLEASE PLEASE!!! -

Would it be possible for you to render the other way in Vegas? By selecting Project -> Render As.
I never liked using the “Make Movie” feature due to not being able to see what it was doing when I selected the “Upload to YouTube” feature.
When I render my files through “Render As” I usually choose between two different profiles. A compressed low filesize YouTube template and a High Quality high filesize template.
My YouTube template uses MainConcept AVC/AAC(*.mp4)

Windows Media Player should be able to play an MPG2 file with no issues. Maybe you have an old version of Media Player?
Do you have a render option for WMV file output? That should play fine on any computer.
