Does anyone know why my video clips are being sliced diagonally?

Is there a seeting i’m unaware of when rendering?… This is driving me crazy!

have you put any AF 6.5 or older effects plugins in 7.0? That causes diagonals.

Well it slices the movie diagonally and then flips the two pieces back to back. Just looks like someones broken it into two pieces and put it back together incorrectly. Hard to explain without being able to show you. Though I just realised it only does it when I play the video clip in Winamp, seems to be fine in Media player. Any idea the difference between the two players?

winamp might be using a different proprietary decompression codec than windows media player. If you have ffdshow, you can force certain fourcc coded videos to play with specific output codecs, but I don’t know if winamp will even then obey, much less being programmed right.:D

The only time that I ever saw this was when exporting uncompressed AVI out of Liquid Blue (It uses Liquid’s own propriatary codec)…simply exporting to QT animation from Liquid solved the problem….what is the source of your footage ?????

To be honest, i’m a real begginer at AE. I had a series of photos, that I made into a short piece of footage by checking the jpeg sequence box. Then clicked make movie.

Havn’t quite got to terms with all the rendering options as yet…
