  • Make blacks/dark areas glow instead of white/light areas?

I’m using 6.5, and I’m working on a project where I think it would be nice to make the dark areas glow black, instead of the usual light areas glowing white. But I can’t work it out, any ideas?

i would think that you could apply the invert effect, then glow, then invert again. then make glow adjustments to see how it effects the layer.

you could also try duplicating the layer add levels (or curves), then blur (like fast blur) to the top duplicate. set that layer’s blending mode to multiply or similar mode to only use the darker values. use the levels/curves effect to act like the threshold in glow and use the blur to act like the radius.

try “glow” effect in multiply mode. adjust the threshold. the darks will bloom.
