Make a sunny day into rain
So, rite now I’m working on a video, where the client wants a day that was shot on a sunny day turn into a rainy day. Im having a really hard time with this, being that there’s sunlight casted on the 2 actors, its outside with trees, so a clean mask of the sky is close to impossible, and even if i do find the right tutorial, the actors’ hair and clothes wont look or get wet. But I’ll still take the tutorial if I can find it. I’m only finding videos of people who have successfully executed the tutorial, like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6Xkov3Wsxs but no how to’s.

I’ll check out the link, thanks! The link I posted was someone who was able to take boats at a dock on a sunny day and successfully made the same footage look bleak and rainy.

You aren’t going to get the actors hair wet or anything. If you want that, reshoot and get a sprinkler.

@ Dave I did get some helpful tips from the previous posters, so I’m definitely looking forward to utilizing those. Also, in the event that I didn’t make this point clear, I did not shoot this footage. Therefore, I do not use post as a crutch. Had I shot it, trust I would’ve executed it a little better and with a lot more thought.
