  • Make a 3D (for shuttered glasses) movie in After FX?

We’ve got an ident in After FX CS3 and a 3D capable cinema (using shuttered glasses). So I’m wondering whether we could make a proper 3D ident.
Does CS3 do this anyway (I can’t find anything about making a 3D movie in it), or would it work to export the movie, then re-export with the camera moved a couple inches (to be the other eye), then combine the two “eyes” in a DCP-creator to make the 48fps movie?
Anyone tried this? If you can still see after watching the results, I’d be interested to hear how you did it.
    Thanks

I’ve done a couple stereo tests with AE, and I found the process a bit cumbersome because the software itself lacks built-in stereo support.

That said, check out Chris Keller’s outstanding stereo scripts for After Effects — they’ll help you rig your left and right eye cameras, build render comps and really speed up your workflow.
