Major Rendering Issue – Please Help
Hi there, I’ve been working on a composition for a little while, which has a number of nested pre-comps etc. All my layers are controlled by a one layer, which I resize and reposition to look at other layers (The composition is a television show, where a presenter is standing in front of a film strip, we actively zoom into an individual film strip as the presenter discusses it), basically i just linked the strips to the presenter, and would resize him out of the way as we talked about individual strips.
Okay, so have mapped out all the animation, set up all the transitions, all looks great in ram previews.
I set to render and it renders fine… Except for this… A few of my frames are now much wider than I set them in the composition. So for example, in one sequence, the presenter is talking about a particular film, and I’ve scaled up the presenter a lot, so that the particular film strip he’s discussing takes up 90% of the frame.
However, when I render it (in any output module, Targa, Quicktime movies, AVI), the film strip only takes up about 60% of the frame (it’s very significant because the strips each contain text, and at 60% of the frame, its difficult to read, while at 90% its just the right size).
For the life of me, I cannot figure out any reason for this, as it is only happening on certain frames and not others. I’ve tried re-creating the moves, but with no success.
If anybody has had this problem, please reply. as i say, this is quite urgent and I don’t know anybody else using After effects in my area.
Many thanks
