    Hey

I’ve got a voiceover for a film I’m making that needs to be sped up but maintain the same audio pitch.

I’ve selected the maintatin audio pitch checkbox in the speed/duration menu but an error message pops up saying “Disk Write Error – Verify Drive Connections, available disk space and disk access privileges.’ The title of the error is ‘Audio Preview Error’. This only happens when I try to play it, and if i switch of maintain audio pitch it plays (high pitch) without error.

So then I tried to adjust the pitch manually with the Pitchshifter tool which works. Except if you render the preview or export – if you do either of those things the voiceover just doesn’t play at all.

I’m using Adobe Premiere Pro 7.0 with standard PAL DV footage.

    Any Ideas?

It could be a non compatible audio issue. There were lots of problems with anything other than wav files back then.

Also keep in mind that the quality of the audio degrade very quickly with slow downs and pretty much sounds like a rain barrel even at 5% slower than normal.

    Thanks for your help.

I exported the audio alone in fast motion with Pitch Shifter as a wav file and ten imported it into the main project and it worked. I don’t know why but anyway it did – if anyone wanted to know.

    Cheers,
    Michael
