Sony vegas pro 12-13 can fast and easy perform a dynamic preview when project properties are 8 bit and 32 bit full .
Magix vegas pro 17 build 387 and 421 do only perform a dynamic RAM preview when project properties are 8 bit and NOT when project properties are 32 bit full range . ( did try this with GPU=ON or OFF and different RAM preview amounts )
In this last case one gets all kind of mad previews in wrong frame rates
Is that a bug ?
I am editing with 32 bit full project settings since that previews the best how it will look like when rendered and my dual xeon 32 cores 3.5 GHz 128 GB ECC reg RAM at 2.133 MHz and quadro M5000 easily handles things .
Since good old sony vegas versions can handle this , what is wrong with the magix versions ?

And this keeps on going in vegas pro 18. Project Properties at 32 bit full level and dynamic preview results in insane preview ( 3 frames , 2 frames , 1 frame , 16 frames , etc .. /sec ). 8 bit full level is OK . ( started since vegas pro 17 build 387 and ongoing ) . GPU=OFF ( when ON , this 18 is unstable as a wild horse , latest nvidia quadro drivers and this on both HP Z840 workstations )
