Magic Bullet Looks with HD?
Hi there everyone, this is my first time posting and I thank anyone who can help me out.
Magic Bullet Looks is a great plugin and I’ve been using it for colour correction on my projects until recently. The plugin works great when I use it with Mini-DV files but I have begun working with HDV and HD footage and whenever I apply the plugin in After Effects it makes the render unusable. It doubles up the frame and makes the top half green. Only with HD footage though.
This particular clip came from an EX1R shot at it’s highest settings of 1920×1080 29.97 fps 1080i60

If anyone has any fixes or reasons as to why this would be that would be great.

I tried encoding the clip in a variety of different settings. ProRes, HD Uncompressed, Animation, nothing would work. It’s not an After Effects problem as other effects work fine, it’s a Looks problem.
In which case it looks like the solution will be to get CS5, and then Looks 1.4, in which case I am sad because that means buying CS5. Tell me I’m wrong, please!

well version 1.1 was SD and HD separate but 1.4 goes to 8192 pixels, you can upgrade from Magic Bullet Looks 1.x to Magic Bullet Looks 1.4 (CS5 Ready) for only $29
