Has anyone compared the two? Does one render faster than the other? Better control / features? Etc?

No, but I have been very impressed with Boris Continuums Film Damage and similar plugins.

Since I bought Magic Bullet I haven’t touched Cinelook once. Film doesn’t have to look grungy – just watch your favourite feature film off DVD and note how crisp and pristine the pictures are. Unless your favourite film is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre or something.

Cinelook’s plugins are all about grunge, noise, grain etc. Magic Bullet gives you all that if you want it, they’re both very similar in thaat respect, but ALSO lets you create true film looks WITHOUT noise and grain.
