MacPro reboots after switching to GTX 980
I’ve just recently upgraded my GPUs from GTX 285s to GTX 690s. Resolve runs fine for a few minutes then the Mac just reboots. I suspect the CUDA drivers but I’m wondering if there is something else I can check. My machine specs are listed below.
MacPro (mid 2010) 12 core 2.97Ghz 16GB RAM
Mac OS 10.10.4
Resolve (full) 11.3.1
Desktop Video 10.4
Cuda Driver 7.0.53 and 3.46.03f01Mac :
ATI 5770 for GUI
Decklink SDI
Dulce SAS
Cubix PCie CardCubix :
2 x Asus GTX 690 4GB DDR5Resolve
I’ve tried installing all the CUDA 7 drivers with no improvment. The only thing that seems to run for a longer period without crashing is when I set GPU processing to OpenCL but it still does reboot occasionally. The OpenCL does not work for me because it runs slower than my GTX 285s. Anything else that I can check?
Lastly I have Resolve 12 Beta installed on a seperate start up disk with the same drivers and also does the same thing (rebooting randomly).
I’ve connected the CUBIX 6 pin power connectors to the 8 pin adapter that came with the card.
