  • mac/pc compatibility question, and software for creating music tracks?

I am considering buying a Mac desktop to cut video at home with Premiere Pro 2.0, but will continue to work on a PC laptop while working on the road (can’t afford buying a Mac laptop at the moment as well). Will I have any compatibility issues with captured video or Premiere Pro projects switching from one computer to the other?

Secondly, can anyone recommend a good program for sound effects and creating my own basic music tracks for videos?

    Thanks,

    Nathan

It’s doable but be ready for lot of headache. Don’t get me wrong, it will work but I found it not worth the trouble.

Another question is why would you buy a Mac when for the money better hardware available for PC? Unless you need to use FCP stick to PC. Apple switch to consumer devices like iPODs and computer is not their focus anymore.
