Mackie Universal Control & Sony Vegas
I finally bit the bullet and bought a Mackie Universal Control! It’s the original version; I bought if on eBay and expecting delivery this weekend.
I’m looking for resources to help with using the MUC together with Sony Vegas. I have DSE’s Vegas V5 book where he outlines how to configure Vegas to recognize the MUC, but now I’m looking for something more detailed.
Is there an article, tutorial, or book that shows how to best incorporate the MUC into a Vegas workflow?
The unit I purchased does not come with a manual. I checked all over the internet but only found the “Quick Start Guide”. Does anyone know where I can download the full manual for the ORIGINAL Mackie Universal Control?
The unit also does not come with a plastic Vegas overlay. Mackie wants $25 (w/postage)! Perhaps there is another place to get the Vegas overlay?
Any and all comments, suggestions or advice on how to best use the MUC with Vegas would be most appreciated!

It’s for Acid but Vegas is pretty much the same interface.
