  Mackie Controller – vegas audio set-up problem

  I’m starting to go crazy. Several months back I bought a Mackie Controller. I can get the device to recognize Vegas and each discrete audio track, so that each MCU fader corresponds to an audio track in my project.

  However, I can not configure the two so that when the Vegas video/project is running, I can mix the audio in real time w/the MCU, saving those variable audio positions/settings within the Vegas project. I assumed it was just a question of the Automation function, but I tried all the Automation options (I think) and just can’t seem to make the track volume level “rubber band” correspond to the moving MCU fader movements and lock in.

  Any clue what I might be doing wrong? Anyone have success configuring Vegas and a Mackie Controller to work together?
