    Hi,

    I hope ididn’t double post. I am looking to get the creative premium suite 5.5. Just wanted to know how well it will run on
    macbook pro
    i7 quad core2.2Ghz
    4g ram
    AMD Radeon HD 6750M

    Ae and premeire are the main focus usingH264 files. , maybe 4 V tracks plus one for titles.
    I will up the ram when i can but will have to do with this for a while.

    Will my macbook do ok?

    I think, like all things, it will come down to how you expect it to perform.

    I recently completed a very short edit on a 2007 MacBook Pro (2.4 Core2) with 4GB of Ram and a slow 1.5Gb SATA drive. It was h.264 footage from a Canon DSLR at 1080p24 and while the rendering was painfully slow (final export) compared to the Mac Pros we use back at the office, it wasn’t abysmal and got the job done.

    A current (modern) MacBook Pro should be more than fine. As you noted, a little more RAM and perhaps some kind of fast, large(ish) Thunderbolt storage array could really help out down the road but you’ll certainly have a workable setup with what you have now.
