  • Mac Studio Does Not Recognize My RAIDs??

Posted by Ken Bennett on June 13, 2022 at 7:33 pm

That’s it. While setting up my new Mac Studio and it does recognize all my USB external drives except for my 2 RAIDs. One is a Thunderbolt 2 and the other a Thunderbolt 3, each 9TB RAID-5 drives from Promise Technology, Inc. One is a Pegasus2 R4, the other Pegasus 3. When connected via TB 2 to TB 3 (USB-C) cable for the Pegasus2 and a TB3 cable for the Pegasus 3 both RAIDs do power up but DO NOT show up on the desktop or in the Disk Utility. Am I missing something here? What’s the key?

All has been working fine on my iMac 27″ 2013 computer.

    ???

    Thanks in advance.

Did you download and install drivers?

I have done nothing at this point. If it’s a driver issue do I need to check with Promise or Apple? And, is this all thats needed?

My guess is that you need drivers and they would come from Promise, not Apple.

Thanks Jeremy. That’s what it was.
