Mac pro vs PC quick question
Hi all,
I use both a Mac pro and a PC for editing both about the same specs ( I am not splitting hairs here ) and I was wondering if its just me or Is the Mac not as responsive when it comes to Jogging or shuttling through your video ?
Mac pro 266 using FCP vs PC using Adobe premier 2.0 pro
Mostly editing DV and HDV stuff same hard drive setup for both .
I am not trying to start an age old argument about which system is better -

I think it’s a Final Cut Pro issue. I’ve noticed as well that shuttling through Avid XPRESS system is a lot smoother than on my Final Cut system and there’s no hardware reason that that should be the case.

Press the spacebar or the “K” key to stop and FCP plays a bit further that you want.
