I’d say upgrade one of your GT120s… Quadro 4000 is a safe bet.

Save yourself some money AND get a better card than the Quadro 4000. Go with a GTX 470 as a replacement for 1 of your GT120’s. You have the PCIe space and the 2 power connectors as your other GT120 doesn’t require them. It will be cheaper and more powerful (CUDA cores). See Macvids on ebay for them.

I have almost the same system. However I have more cards to deal with BMD HD, ATTO Raid card and a GT120. That gives me one open slot as the HDMI from the BMD is taking up a slots well. Looking at the 470 from macvidcards and that will take up 2 slots.

My question is how well would Resolve run with only that as the graphics card? Can I get realtime RED playback if I am coming off my RAID (450Meg Sec)? OR do I need to get a mini converter to go HD-SDI to HDMI to run both graphics cards?

    SLOT 1: GTX 470
    SLOT 2: GT120
    SLOT 3: RAID
    SLOT 4: BLACKMAGIC

    They all should fit.

Does the 470 take up 1 or 2 slots?
