I work off of a Mac Pro (Early 2009) and my video editing process was malfunctioning because of space issues. There was simply too much working the computer. So we deleted some things and everything is back to normal, but I look and see tons of “Application” space being used up. No matter what I delete I can’t make a dent. I even used a Mac Cleaner. I’ve seen this problem on the internet, but I was wondering if anyone has an idea of how to isolate what is taking up the space.

    Here’s a pic.

In Finder click on Applications and switch to the List view and sort by Size. That should show you which applications are taking up the most space.

I tried that, did some web searching and found out that it was a spotlight issue. Had to reset it with Preferences. This still render way slower than they did before, but I guess that’s how it goes with large video projects.

    Thanks for the help
