Mac Pro DVD drive not writing to +R DL discs
Just got my Mac Pro last week with the “stock” SuperDrive, and it isn’t recognizing any of my Memorex (which i never buy, these were given to me) +R DL discs. The specs on the drive in “About This Mac” say it will write to “-R, -R DL, -RW, +R, +R DL, +RW”, so not sure why this isn’t working. I tried 5 discs from this new stack, but no go. However, it has written to an old TDK +RW (non DL) with no problem. The other interesting thing is that in “About This Mac” under Media Type it says “DVD+R DL”, yet it’s not liking my discs…at least not these Memorexes (or is that “Memorexii?”). Sorry i put this in the FCP forum, but hopefully it’s not too annoying…

…and today it works. I have done nothing different. Even tried the same blank disc that was left on the top of the stack. Wierd…
