lumix gx8 24P UHD importing as 23.98
can anyone pls tell why lumix gx8 24P UHD is immporting as 23.98 in fcpx 10.2.2 – and how to fix…pls

Because video at 24fps runs at 23.98. Only film, and high end cameras run at 24fps straight up. 24p video is 23.98…well, pardon, 23.976.

What was used to record audio? Did it record it at 44.1kHz, or 48kHz?

It should have been recorded at 48kHz. That’s what’s needed for video sync. You might be able to convert it after the fact and have it sync. Compressor can do this….there are presets.

No…that won’t do anything. The issue is that the audio is 44.1. It needs to be 48k.
