I have a Windows 8 workstation and LTO5 drive. It’s working great for LTFS backups on small jobs.

Now I’m looking to do a year’s worth of archiving and I’d like to start using a software solution to manage it. Specifically looking for one that does tape spanning as I have ~38TB of data total (lots of individual projects) and some projects will not fit on 1 tape.

All recommendations welcome but if you’re working in Windows I’d especially like to hear from you- what you’re using, your experience. Not interested in switching to Mac or buying a hardware solution.

For now, I recommend Novaback from Novastor. However, after the first of the year, the Windows version of BRU Producer’s Edition will be available. Fully compatible with the OS X version (as well as all of the other platforms).

BRU … because it’s the RESTORE that matters!
