LTO-5 ext drive – Tandberg or HP
I have a Tandberg HH ext SAS LTO-5 drive that I use to backup with BRU-PE. I read earlier in this forum that BRU is better supported by HP drives.
I’m in the market for another drive and BRU now. When I look at pictures of the HP HH ext SAS LTO-5 drive it seems to look identical to the Tandberg. So what’s the difference?———————————–

Hi Neil,
I’m not sure where you got that info from, but BRU PE will work fine with both brands. However, if you’re looking for another drive, we have great deals for existing users. Drop a note to our sales team (or give a call – 480-505-0488) and they’ll get back to you with pricing.

That wasn’t to imply that the other solutions were any less supported, just that we found the HP solutions more in line with the level of support and reliability that we need to provide our customers. Sorry if that wasn’t clear.

Support has been great. Had a fan making a very small noise.. sent a new unit same day.. didnt have to send ours back or pay upfront incase we didnt send old back. V impressed.s
