  • Lowering exported video file size in Final Cut Express 4?

Hi everyone. Since this is Final Cut Express, hopefully one of you can answer my question.

Today, I’ve made four videos that I want to upload to YouTube. Each one is about 8 minutes long, and is about 1.2 GB after it’s been exported. Is there any way that I can get this file size down to somewhere around 500MB?

I’m not sure how important it is, but each video contains HD 720p video at 59.97 frames per second recorded with a Blackmagic Intensity Extreme.

I’m also not sure how important this is, but when I export, I export using QuickTime Conversion.

    Export settings:
    Format: QuickTime Video, H.264
    Dimmensions: 1280×720 HD

    Sound sample rate: 48 kHz
    Sample size: 16-bit

I also have “Prepare for Internet Streaming” checked.

If anybody could help me out and give me some tips, that’d be awesome. I’m no video expert, but I know my way around FCE.
