    Hi everyone,

I am new to the COW and my Motion skills are basic (I’m still using v.2).

I’ve been trying to create a series of lower third graphics in motion that I can update regularly . I need to be able to export them out of Motion, import into Final Cut and layer above a video track so that the lower 3rd is visible over the existing video, (but without any background like that grey checkerboard in Motion). I know I have to do something with the alpha channel, but don’t know what to do exactly. Does anyone know of a step-by-step article I could look at or recommend the steps? Any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks a lot!

    Lauren

This is why you want FCS 2- that function is built right in and described in the manual.
