    Hi,

I have a big project with a hundreds of 3D layers, cameras and lights. When I try to render this project in After Effects, QuickTime > Apple Pro Res HQ , that is costs like 18-19 hours. But when i try that in MacBook thats around 5-6 Hours. I don’t understand how is it possible. I get same times around when tried Media Encoder .mp4 render too. I am using SSD for AE, preffered Graphics Card 1050Ti, Turbo Boost open.

    My Pc:
    Dell Inspiron 7577
    16 GB Ram
    1TB HDD + 128Gb SSD
    Intel i7 7700HQ 2.8GHZ 3+ GHz with Turbo Boost
    GTX 1050Ti 4Gb Graphics Card
    Intel HD Graphics 630

    MacBook Pro:
    15″ Early 2013
    2.7 GHz Intel i7
    16GB Ram
    256Gb SSD
    GT 650m 1Gb Graphics Card
Intel HD Graphics 4000 1.5 Gb Graphics Card

    Try a different format.
Install Avid DNxHR/HD codec and go with that.
    Also, try AVI Uncompressed.
Not sure why you would want to try any of the above? it’s just to see if the advantage your getting is due to the fact that Apple OS takes advantage of all ProRes codec.

No i am using CUDA or OpenCL two of them no matter,

I watched my resource monitor now when i working on After Effects then i see After Effects using Nvidia and Intel graphics cards same time but using Intel much than Nvidia. I set up on windows graphics settings for use Geforce and on Nvidia software selected prefer Geforce for all sitiuations. I don’t understand whats going on my pc.

So many variables but I am confident (Im old been around the block) that its due to the codec used.
