Low memory???
Posted by Rion Gilpin on January 21, 2011 at 10:56 pmLow memory error message when trying to render. It is a lot of special effects, but its only .15 Brand new Dell Inspiron dual core. I have nothing, nothing on this computer except sony vegas. I even removed antivirus software. What is going on? this is for a client, he’s expecting this tonight and it won’t render!

January 22, 2011 at 10:01 amWhich version of Vegasre you using?
You can try network rendering (even if you are rendering on a stand-alone computer). This sometimes prevents the memory problem.

January 22, 2011 at 12:52 pmIm using Pro 10 64 bit. Last night I tried every kind of file, and I was able to render in AVI only. I tried this morning and same thing. How do you network render?
Thanks in advance, this is frustrating! haha

January 22, 2011 at 6:06 pmHow much memory is in your system? If it’s only 1-2GB, then that’s your problem. 4-8GB is pretty much minimal these days, with 12GB+ DDR3 becoming mainstream.
The network render option is only available in Vegas Pro, not the Movie Studio version.

January 23, 2011 at 2:35 amI have 6gb and like I said, Sony vegas is the only thing ever running on this computer. I disabled firewall and anti virus software last night, but it kept doing it.
But, Today it stopped doing it for some reason. Not sure what I did, but it’s working now : )Rion

January 30, 2011 at 11:16 pmwindows 7 64bit. I am still trying to figure out why it’s taking 12 hours to render an hour of footage with one (small)png file over the footage that was shot on HD 1080 60i. rendering to SDVDA mg2 with same settings. this shouldnt take 12 hours
