lost contrast
I shot music video.I shoted on digitalbeta and the picture was very good.but now i take spots with ex1 on 1080i edit with FCS aja IO, when make CC in AE make donw conv to 720×567 to make a pal the source lost contras adn color.I thing that EX1 is better digitalbeta is thar right and where is the problem.

I think we need more detailed step by step workflow to make suggestions.
Are you viewing on broadcast monitor as you work. If you’re doing color correction in After Effects and you lose contrast and color on down convert, maybe it’s the way you’re doing the down convert.For the kind of workflow you’re doing I’d convert the EX codec to 10bit Uncompressed or Apple ProRes 4:2:2 for best color space handling.
