Lost Audio
I have a mov video clip that plays fine and has audio. When I import the clip into either iMovie or FCE there is no audio. When I render the clip I still have no audio. When I try to extract the audio in iMovie, there appears to be nothing there. I need to shorten/change the clip. How am I going to be able to do it?

What type of .mov file is it? Where did it come from? How did it get into your computer? Where do you play it and hear the audio? Can you export it from there into a format that will work in FCE?

I am not sure where it came from exactly. I think it originally started out as a wmv file. Under the information tab that OS10 gives me it says Dimension: 320 x 240, Codecs: MPEG1 Muxed. It plays fine in QuickTime Player version 7.0.3, Player Version 7.0.3. I have not been able to export it in any format with either FCE, iMovie, or Quicktime Pro and have it play with sound. I have Flip4Mac installed on my computer.

You will need to demux it. I think Mpeg Streamclip from Squared 5 will do that for you – https://www.alfanet.it/squared5/mpegstreamclip.html
