I’m hoping someone can help me. I’ve run into the most bizarre problem.

I have a sequence containing footage shot 720pN with the HVX-200. There is SOT audio on channel 1, FX audio and music on channels 3-6. The project is great, I’ve played it a million times, no problem.

Suddenly today when I play the sequence, the SOT audio on channel 1 is gone. The fx and music are still there. When I listen to the source file, the audio is still there (all 4 tracks). When I open the footage in the viewer, everything is good. If I take the audio from channel 1 and move it to another channel, it still doesn’t play. And when I put music or other sound on channel 1, or replace the SOT, it works fine. But when I open the audio from track 1 in the viewer, all of the sound *around* the in and out plays, but not the sound within the in and out points. HUH??? I can’t figure out what would cause this, and I’d really like to avoid having to go replace each audio event in this sequence. Has anyone run into this problem before? The other sequences I have saved with this project are all working fine, no problem whatsoever. Amazingly perplexing.

Any and all help is great appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Marc

Have you used any automation to alter levels in this track, or applied any filters? Just checking. Otherwise, I would suggest you trash your renders for this sequence and see if that helps, or mixdown the audio.

I’d recommend the mixdown render first – opt-apple-r

Thanks guys. Reconnecting the media worked. I have no idea why. The same media was in other sequences that worked fine. Very strange.
