    Hello all

I am posting this question for a co-worker

it seems he has lost the feature for exporting mpeg2 video out of fcp4.5 when he uses the quicktime conversion setting

he does have compressor but is very uncomfortable using it as he has done mpeg2 through the quicktime conversion setting in the past

and even if he did use compressor where did the mpeg 2 setting go

I apologize as i do not have specs on his machine although he is running on a g4 quicksliver under os10.4
thanks for any help you can provide

This was sort of a bug / Apple took it away…
(i’ve heard of stories of people getting it back by reinstalling, but ive done fresh installations recently and its no longer there)

Just use Compressor, or have DVDSP do the conversion for you.
Honestly i never ever touch the QuickTime Conversion export – always either export Quicktime and have a separate app do the compression, or export using Compressor (that way you can have watch folders and droplets already preset so you don’t have to do any extra preparation).
