Lost 3rd party plug-ins after upgrade to FCPX 10.0.9
I lost 60 percent of my 3rd party plugins after I upgraded to the latest version of FCPX 10.0.9. ….even though they are supposed to be compatible . Anyone else have the same issue? I’d be willing to go back to my previous version if i can get all that back…. but i’m not sure of the best way to go about it.

Check your ~/Movies/Motion Templates/ folder and see if everything is where it should be. I haven’t experienced any problems with plug-ins on 10.0.9, maybe reinstalling the plugins would help.

Just to confirm what Nicholas says: I have one FCPX system with just about any third-party plugin you can imagine for testing purposes. I have double-checked and every plugin is still there after the 10.9 update.
As I cannot find any reason why some of your plugins have disappeared re-installing them is probably the best solution.
