  Loss transcoding AVIs / HDV with Media Manager?

  Hello,
  I am a relatively “almost” convert from PremierePro and I still have lots of material captured with Adobe as avi and hdv-mpegs (1080i)…

  I know the media manager will convert these files for FCP, but can anyone advise as to whether the quality loss is acceptable, or is there a better way to port my material to FCP other than re-capturing?
