  Loss of Firewire display in FCP2

  I seemed to have lost the firewire display “out” in my menu to display to a monitor. I re-installed FCP2 but the problem still exists. I can display the timeline in the canvas, but the choice to display via firewire is missing. How do I re-install this possibility?
