  • Loss of audio when using Particle Illusion

Hi everyone, I saw a post by trevagirl on how she didn’t know how to deal with the loss of audio but I didn’t really understand how she fixed it in her second post. My camera records MPEG-4 video files and I convert those into .avi files using Alive MP4 Converter. In the MPEG AND the .avi file there is sound but when I use the .avi as a background for a particle illusion project it loses sound. Tell me if there’s something I can do to have audio or if there’s any way I can be more specific about my problem

When you’re in the Output Options page of the render settings, there’s a checkbox right at the bottom that says “Use audio from layer” and a drop-down to choose a layer. Find the one with your AVI on it from that list, and it should output the audio properly.

There will be no sound while using particleIllusion, but you can check the “preserve audio” option at the bottom of the output options dialog if you save an AVI from pIllusion.
