Loss of audio between Premiere and Encore
Hi. I’m working with m2ts files in Premiere CS4. Premiere doesn’t have an issue with these files, and my audio plays perfectly within Premiere. However, when I export to Encore CS4 it doesn’t play the audio. I’m wanting to start using Encore on a regular basis to create DVD’s and Blu-ray discs, but I don’t see how I can do this if my audio won’t play in Encore. Am I doing something wrong? As an after thought, can I export to Media Encoder and THEN import the encoded file into Encore, or doesn’t it work like that? Whatever happens, I don’t want to lose any video or audio quality.

I ALWAYS export to MPEG2 / WAV from Premiere and then import those into Encore.
That wat you know what you have before Encore. It has to encode at some point, so it is not really a time savings to go from Premiere directly to Encore – that just offsets the encoding to a different place in time.Mike Cohen

Thank you SO much, it worked! I now have my video AND audio in Encore and there is no loss of quality.
