  • Losing specified font and positioning during QuickTime exports

Posted by Simon Malcolm on September 6, 2005 at 8:49 am

Hi there, I am using a G5 2.3GHZ machine with 4.5GB RAM and editing on FCP 5.0.2. Having completed my edit sequence I am exporting as a self contained QuickTime file and then converting to MPEG-2 in Compressor. During the exporting process to QuickTime file my sequence is replacing my specified font (Futura) with something very different which also messes up the positioning of the font. Any ideas??? Thanks, malcolmland.

I’ve never heard or seen this at all. I have no explanation as to how a font can change during a Quicktime Export. As far as I know that’s impossible.
