  • Losing resolution when nesting sequences into a new timeline

Posted by Jessica Keen on June 5, 2010 at 7:09 pm

I’m working with footage shot on the Canon Rebel T2i. I converted the footage to the Apple ProRes 422 codec using Mpeg streamclip and have been editing with it just fine. (Sequence settings: frame size HD (1920×1080)16:9, compressor: Apple ProRes 422, Quality: 100%, etc.)

When I take each edited scene and insert them as nested sequences in the timeline, I lose resolution and the image becomes lower grade, slightly pixelated. My sequence settings in the new sequence are exactly the same.

Thank you for any suggestions/advice you may have!

    Hi Chris!

There was no green render bar at the top. There was an orange render bar, so I checked the orange bar (unlimited) in the Render All menu and then rendered the entire sequence. This had no effect whatsoever.

    Any other ideas?
    Thanks!
