im new to vegas and looking for some help. the problem i am having is that i loose portions of my video during playback. sometimes its whole clips, sometimes its just a part of a clip. the audio is fine. when i rendered and burned it to a dvd video was still lost. with 6gb of ram and 2.3ghz processor i wouldn’t think the computer is the problem. suggestions? tips? thanks

“Lose” is rather ambiguous. You need to describe the problem in more detail and what source and destination video formats you’re using.

the video i’m using is from a kodak playsport hd camcorder and is “.mov” format. the end result is burning it to dvd. i use the “make movie” feature in vegas. when editing the video, it fades to black instead of to the next clip. it may be for one clip, then fade back, or it may be for several. sometimes it fades perfectly. the audio never seems to be affected.
