Loose Tape Door on the HVX
Hello again,
I recently got a used HVX and I noticed while hand-holding the camera by the side strap,
the tape door seemed to be a bit loose.maybe it’s a flaw in the design of this camera– having all the weight hanging off the tape door.
Does anyone have any solutions/recommendations for me? I’m afraid one day while shooting handheld, I’ll rip off the tape door from the camera…

So tape it down with gaffer tape. With any luck you’ll never use it anyway…

Wouldn’t think it’s a design flaw – haven’t seen that mentioned before. Perhaps the former owner shot a lot of tape or was rough on the camera, which could be one reason why they were selling it.
I like Noah’s idea of gaffer’s tape.
