Has anyone else noticed that Sony has ‘shrunk down’ the graphic area where you click the loop region to move it around, in the trimmer?

In Vegas 9.0 when you wanted to grab the loop region in the trimmer and slide it around, there was a larger area (thicker area)you could click and always grab the loop.

In Vegas 10, your mouse pointer has to be absolutely withn the actual loop region slider itself which is 2mm thick. If you’re slightly off target, you end up changing the in and out point instead rather than actually moving the loop.

Try to make a loop region in the trimmer say 2 seconds wide, and have a few attempts at dragging it around when working fast. You’ll find you have to sit there and make sure you click on target.

This is annoying the hell out of me and really slowing down my editing..

    🙁

Hover your mouse at the top of the audio track until it changes to a double arrow with a double line in the middle and drag it up to make it larger. You can make it as large as you want.

    Thanks for your quick response..

It’s not exactly what I mean. How did you past that image? I want to show you what I mean 🙂

Ok.. See the area where the arrow is? For some reason, having it slimmer as in Vegas 10 makes me ‘miss’ every time I click on it. No idea why. 🙁

    Sorry for the dudgy graphics.

OK… they changed the preview and the trimmer for Vegas Pro 10. If you add a marker you will get the larger area on top of the trimmer track. It looks like you collapsed the trimmer preview window. I don’t use it that way and I usually drag from the middle of the event so it doesn’t affect me. No, I don’t think you can change it back. This is how Vegas Pro 10 looks now.
