Looking to “level out” uneven exposure on long video
So I made the rookie mistake of shooting a long presentation on auto exposure, instead of a fixed exposure. The presenter is standing in front of a bright projection screen and moving around it, blocking it at times so the camera’s auto exposure is trying to compensate and the brightness is going up and down throughout the video.
It made me wonder if there exists some kind of plugin or something that will scan the entire video for luminescence and automatically brighten and darken it in the correct places to even everything out? I know theoretically that’s what the AE was doing, but it didn’t do a very good job. Has anyone heard of anything like this?
