I’m looking at a few rails systems, including the Indirailspro xv. I have an EX1 and am looking at the Letus Elite 35mm adapter. Is this a “you get what you pay for” piece of equipment, or can it hold up?
I’d be interested in hearing what others with experience w/them have to say.

For $100 more than the cost of the Letus Elite, you can get the M2 Encore microX Indie Bundle from Redrock Micro. It includes a rail system. I’ve been using the Letus Extreme for the last 15 months and it’s been great… but, the new M2 Encore blows it out of the water. I had the chance to play with one the other day. With the Letus Extreme/Elite you can’t stop down past f4 without seeing the ground glass. That limits you to a pretty shallow depth of field. The M2 Encore uses a spinning ground glass that allows you to stop all the way down to f22 if desired. That kind of flexibility is important. On the subject of rods alone, I have Cinevate’s solid carbon fiber rods –totally indestructible!

Wow, thanks for the tip Jason. I’ll definitely check that out. Are there any reviews of it out yet? What camera are you shooting with?

Yeah, just google M2 Encore reviews. I’m shooting with the HVX200.
