Looking for some guidance
I am trying to create the effect:
i have text on the screen, originally not visible. I want to animate some sort of particle to make it seem as if the text is being burnt onto the screen, sort of like a blow torch effect. Is is beter to start in Photoshop for the text? I really have no clue where to start. If there is a tutorial someone can point me to or even some get me started steps, that would be great! Thanks in advance!

Hi John,
you might take a look at this tutorial. the ‘write-on’ part should work well for what you want. after you get the write on part lock down, then you can add color (flames) and particles to really sell it.

Thanks for your response Todd. I got a response on another thread but it was just to download a project file, so I’ve been working on breaking that down. With this, I should be able to get through it.
