• Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy

  looking for some codec help

  hey all,

  So I am trying to get files that were given to me, in AVI format, with SHQ2 video codec, to work in FCP and Motion. The files are highlights that were captured in VT5. I have done some research and the common answer is that there really isn’t a way that it can be done on my end, the codec isn’t available and the free programs that I have tried (Flip4Mac, Windows Media Player, DIvX) haven’t been any help either. I have tried exporting and compressing with QT and Compressor but no love there either. The files open in OT and compressor, there is just a black screen filling the canvass and preview.

  Since I have a lot of love for this forum, I figured I’d throw it by the crew here. I am looking for solutions that can be done on my end, 2.33 Intel powered MacBook Pro, as well as the VT5 end, which is on a PC based system.
