Does FCP5 have a pixelation blur or mosaic blur where I can change the number of individual squares to obscure Identity of subject/license plate, etc? Or third party plugin?

Natively you duplicate the clip over itself and apply a soft matte and blur to the top one, which you then have to keyframe for movement. Much easier to use Joe’s filters.

The Witness Protection filter in BCC3 will do everything Joe’s filters does plus it will motion track the face for you. This means you don’t have to do the tedious task of frame by frame tracking. I use Joe’s filter in pinch and only if it’s a quick shot or two.
Joe, If you’re reading this; add a motion tracker to your plug-ins on the long awaited version v4 update.
