December 6, 2016 at 1:21 amI believe Motion Media and DZ Solutions provide turnkeys.
What kind of export times are you getting now, and on what kind of a system? (Whoever ends up setting you up with a tower may want to optimize it for your specific needs – usually a balance of CPU power and storage speed.)
Any idea of the budget range?

December 8, 2016 at 3:26 pmmany thanks Alex, that is very helpful
I can’t really justify more than $1500
I will never be doing 4k and never usually have more than 3 video channels
really just looking for smooth playback of the edit timeline – relatively quick rendering times – and ideally two HDMI outputs for dual monitors
I don’t need a ton of HDD – and ideally would depend one xternal drives – if the tower has SATI connectors (if that is still a thing)
thanks again

December 9, 2016 at 7:36 pmYou might get more bang for the buck looking at a used machine. There are a ton of used Mac Pro towers that are a few years old that will do exactly what you want and that are within your price range. Some might even have video cards for your output already installed. Just a thought. Good luck.
